Days go By all started with a singular guitar with the line “Just sitting here, for a while, watching the days go by” Josh (Mojo JNR) was stuck with a way forward with the track and put together a demo, feeling it was too slow and listening to collabs between artists like Tom Misch and Loyle Carner he gave good friend Charlie Nicholls a call. In steps Charlie took the track and ran with it, layering a drum loop and creating a rap, which gave the song a purpose and a voice. Lead guitar was provided by Charlie J’s live guitarist Katy Mumford. Bass was provided by Mojo JNR bandmate and Josh’s longtime recording engineer Quillan Thomas who also mixed and mastered the track.
